I lived down there for about, oh, 9 months or so?
I loved it, nice weather, cool bugs, great parties. Life's a big adventure there. I dated a nice tica university girl whom I inflicted "white guy fever" on.
Can't miss the traffic though. Or the pollution. Nothing like going downtown in rush hour and feeling like an invisible hand is choking you.
The only brawl I got into in Costa happened to be with a group of Americans...
