Normal people CANT connect an IM to business. You just talk to friends and family with it.
And no we dont have formal business conversations in this industry: when you talk to equal people that also enjoy what they are doing conversations are decorated with fun and jokes. Just like how YOU talk to friends. Still its business and a lot is usually at stake.
