Hypnosis in general isn't difficult to learn.. Primarily timing and observation.. Then organized wording of suggestions...
Stage hypnosis brings on a different set of variables.. The biggest being that it's simply a form of entertainment that puts a dim light on the beneficial uses of hypnosis. An audience sees these people on stage and think that their minds have been taken over... Not even the case, but this impression keeps many people from even considering hypnosis as a tool that could help. "I'm afraid I'll tell my darkest secrets." .. "I'm afraid you'll make me do dumb things." .. "I don't want someone taking over my mind."
Hypnosis is just progressive relaxation to a point that the conscious part of the mind becomes subdued and bypassed... to a point..
