But seriously, I would like to think you love your dog. I would imagine that you would feel bad if you hurt your dog, and your dog didnt know why you hurt it. Dogs are very loving animals. they want nothing more than to please their owner. What you did makes the dog feel unloved. It doesnt know what it did to be hurt by you. It may be hiding under the couch, but she still dont know what she did wrong. All she knows is that you hurt her, and she doesnt know why.
mikey i find that hard to believe that she doesn't know what she did wrong. like the example i made before in a pack of wild dogs the alpha male gets to eat first and the others wait. the way they prove they are the alpha male is when situations like this happen and the alpha male shows he is superior by fighting the other dog until it gives up.

i agree throwing him on his back and staring him into his eyes until he submits also works. but doesn't that instill fear also? because basicly what your showing him is that your more powerful and not to be fucked with. same result just different action, right?
