beating your dog. how nice. too bad you know nothing about training a dog. A dog is going to take your food unless it recognizes you as the dominant pack leader. And beating or hitting your dog doesnt teach him this. A dog doesnt understsand hitting. When your dog does something wrong, you need to grab him, throw him down on his back and hold him there. This is a universally submissive position for a dog to be in. when the dog stops fighting you and looks away, you may let him up. That will be your signal that the dog has recognized you as the dominant pack leader. BUT THAT DOESNT MEAN HURTIN IT WHEN YOU DO THIS. YOU cant blame the dog for doing what it did. It was only acting as its survival instincts told it to. ACTUALLY, it's your fault for not knowing how to properly train your dog........ nice move.
