FUCK THAT! I think he has another job and it's not the type of job where taxes are due or company registrations are necessary.

I wouldn't be too surprised. When my folks immigrated from the Philippines to the USA, both of them worked minimum wage jobs but they were able to save and manage their money to get a nice house, decent clothes and transportation. It may not be as bling bling as a new Lexus and Armani threads but they knew how to manage their money. It stems from the fact that my mom came from a family of 8 kids that pretty much had to raise themselves so every penny was saved. They rationed 1 cup to 1/2 cup of rice per sibling per day... but they managed to graduate college and get jobs.
So... it all depends on how people save and how hard they want to work. It's very possible to achieve that one income as well as selling MLM stuff on the side and other 'supplemental' income.
