Most Dutch people that I know are afraid of guns also. Something to do with the way they were raised over there.
I had one friend come over and stay with me from there and he was sort of exited about shooting some of my guns, But when it came time to actually do it he freaked out. When he held one it was as if he was holding a vile of nerve gas or something. It was sort of funny. Needless to say he was too chicken to pull the trigger.
