There is much more to OS X than the GUI. There is much more to the GUI on Mac OS X than the surface images. Finally, much of the OS is trademarked, copyrighted, and patented... Exactly how would someone get away with copying it?
Finally, as I said about the integration, and for a number of other reasons, a Mac is much more than just a pretty UNIX box. The UNIX underpinnings are one feature... but a lot of the extra stuff on top is a much bigger deal to most users. The point of the Mac is that right now, it has a more serious system under the hood than any commercial OS, and a better interface than any *nix.
I'm not worried about Apple losing their position.
