If my country's team beats your country's team, then I am better than you, and I will make thousands of posts proclaiming my greatness over you. Nevermind the fact that I never even played on the team, and my biggest contribution involved sitting on the couch watching the game on TV and consuming large amounts of beer and junk food, I am truly a champion who deserves praise for my accomplishment of simply being a citizen of the same country as the people who actually did play on the team which won the game.
