yeah, I've been asked not to tell - I've observed that and also spoken up and it has given me different outcomes on those few occasions it's happened
if you speak up then you run the risk of the whole 'shoot the messenger' situation and losing the friendship - or being told it's none of your business and why couldn't you just leave it alone - blah blah (people love to blame and they also love denial
)
if you don't speak up then you may start to treat your friend a little differently cos you 'know' and WANT to tell them but don't know if you should and for me that created difficulty with communication and affected friendships
tough one Ramos, I certainly don't envy you for that kind of thing!
