Democrat in the mayor's office, democratic senator (at least one of em, the one that'll be hanging the albatross around), democratic uppity nigrahs who were in the way of urban renewal. I've seen an (unconfirmed) report with locals saying a spillway wall was deliberately detonated to drain off some of the water and protecting the (affluent) uptown area.

What's really fucked up is multiple reports about FEMA and the Nat'l Guard and DHS restricting aid and aid workers from going into the city for days on end... and worse yet, keeping people from getting OUT! CTV had a reporter interview some stranded canadians who had to take up residence under an overpass at the city's outskirts because cops started firing 'warning shots' when they saw people trying to cross a bridge to get out of the city.
I mean, seriously... you've got foreign nationals fleeing a disaster zone essentially trying to do little more than find some place where they can hail a fucking cab and go home, and you start shooting? WTF?
