I have to drive twice a week past a highway shrine to four teenage girls that died in a wreck where one of the girls was decapitated. I always take a second to imagine the car flying off the elevated highway above and landing on its roof and skidding to a halt next to the twenty foot boulder, just feet from the road. This happened a couple of weeks ago in one of the most scenic places in the western states, the Rainbow Lodge on the Donner Pass, and my wife told me all the gory details that she witnessed when she drove by it like 3 minutes after it happened.
