Well I tried DreamSubmitter. And unfortunately I am not going to stick with it. I am not a professional submitter, but if I was I would give DS a closer look. It is very advanced, but that's not why I am not sticking with it.

1. I am not a professional submitter. I don't plan on making gobs of money submitting.

2. DS is geared for html galleries IMO. All the FHG's I use/make are php with the reseller id passed and dynamic scenes. So it only takes me a few seconds to switch that out. I don't have a huge need for the <---blah---> custom coding feature it uses.

3. The gallery generation was a bit buggy for me. It added and extra </body> and </html> tag in my code. I messed with this for an hour or so. After trying all sorts of crap here is what was choking it for me (not saying this is a huge problem). My galleries ended with a few single line breaks. I noticed the generator was adding those extra tags, and extra breaks. So I got rid of the breaks, and no more weird generated code.

4. When I started submitting I was not into the "one" window manual submit. In other programs you can pop 4 at a time, and while you press submit on one site, you can quickly move onto another site without waiting for loading, checking etc. I missed this in DS.

Now I want to end this is a positive manner. Here are the things I thought were really cool in DS...

1. How easy it is to make multiple profiles. If you submit a ton of sites, you can save contact info and other useful info in a profile and load it later on when you submit. My other submitter does not have this.

2. Scheduled submitting was cool. You can basically set up a ton of submissions for the future and set a time/date and the program will automatically submit for you. (I am not sure how this works with manual submits though, which is usually the better traffic)

3. I like the photo cropping tool. You can crop all the size in a click of the button, or take more time to create perfect thumbs, without Photoshop.

4. There are more customizable features in DS than my other submitter. Again, as I said before, I am not going to be a "pro" submitter, so for my purposes I didn't get into all the cool custom shit in detail. I just saw all of the fields you can add to submissions.

5. The customer support in DS was very good. The training videos, the saved ICQ conversations from past tech questions and quick ICQ contact were A++. I watched all the videos and went through the other material they give. It all helped out, and I was up and submitting in about an hour or so.

I REALLY wish the DS and my other program would join forces. A product put out by a combined effort would be flawless. But until then, I am choosing to stick with my other submitter.

Take the little time, and the $2.95 for the trial, and check out the program. Especially if you plan on making a lot of money from submitting. I am not saying this program is not good or anything, it just wasn't what I needed. And as you can see from the first replies on the thread, no one really got into the +'s or -'s of DS. So I thought I would share what I found.
