Yet the same people started to whine when they (inaccurately) assumed other countries would not help with the Katrina disaster.
Anyone ever noticed the total donations for Katrina aid four days after the appeals were set up? Just over 100 million. Pathetic when ya consider the extent of the disaster and a few people included in that donated $1m themselves.
Little chance overweight papered nations can be expected to help the starving in third world countries - either in monitory value or excess body fat - when they can hardly help their own citizens while thinking about the price of gas.
