You watch, the next cat-5 hurricane will be named something like "Igor" or "Valerie", "Alexiev", "Olga" (as in Russian Gymnast Olga Korbut), "Anya" or "Vladimir".

Hurricane names are chosen LONG before the storms are developed. There's no real basis in fact for naming them Russian names on purpose due to their strength. Check out www.NOAA.gov for more details regarding the naming of hurricanes.
