actually he was hanging out on the set making jokes (as usual) and he saw two white (guys) grips laughing hystarically at him. he flew out of the country (this was when he was 'missing') and went to Africa to get in touch with his culture. He felt very guilty for creating a show and making jokes about his own race. At first he thought it would be funny, but he ended up feeling like he wasn't letting people grow out of racism because he was feeding everyone a reason to make fun of african americans.
I like Carlos Mencia's approach to racial comedy. He's not racist, he makes fun of everybody equally.
