Difference between Clinton and Bush Sr.

Did anybody else notice the huge difference between bush sr and clinton in the interview on CNN the other day? I think you could broaden this to say it's a difference between republicans and democrats.

the difference (paraphrasing):

Interviewer: Why don't they put a price top on gas so that people don't have to pay insane amounts?

Bush sr: I don't know enough about it to give you an answer.

Clinton: Well, there's a lot of factors at play here. A temporary ceiling on gas prices may serve the public well, but when you're dealing with demand and supply you cant impose an artificial price on the market place and expect it to hold. If the price is too cheap it just means we will run out faster.

Interviewer: Why is it taking so long for the people of New Orleans to receive aid?

Bush sr: I dont know enough about it to give you an answer.

Clinton: You have to understand that we thought, when the hurriccane hit, that new orleans was spared. At that point it wasn't a huge impact and it looked as though this would be a normal hurriccane recovery, but then the leavies had breaches which is another disaster in itself, add to the fact a lack of communication, etc this was something that did not progress at a predicatable rate. I can't confirm that all proper decisions were made, but before we start pointing fingers, we need to understand these situations are very difficult.

Whats the difference? Clinton treats people like adults.. he shows you the pros and cons of the decisions he faces and tries to make the best of it. While Bush Sr and Bush Jr play poker face through their decisions, they strong arm all questions, keep all relevant information and then at the end of the day they either look like they know what their doing, or its a complete failure.. but in either case, you dont know where things went wrong cause you have no clue whats going on.

I think this why the intellectual communitty hates bush, because they are shut out of the decision making process while the lower income, rural type of people don't mind and place faith in him because they normally wouldn't include themself in these discussions/decisions even if the information was made available to them.

discuss.
