This is a pretty difficult "fact" to parse. What is lost? Money has a rather ephemeral "value" anyway. A lot of value is in confidence. The American publid is already so rich, how much richer would we be if we hadn't been bilked out of this money? If it's going somewhere else, where is all the STUFF they are spending it on?
