Only 2,000 national guardsmen were provided from the start. There's something like 1,400 coming in tonight, and 1,400 tomorrow, from place like Arkansas and other states.
It's a pitiful response to what everyone agrees is the worst disaster America has ever faced.
The head of Homeland Security wouldn't answer the questions about why so few guardsmen were provided. No one will.

What if we do have a major terrorist attack? A dirty bomb or chemical weapons? What are they going to do, send in 2,000 guardsmen?
