Ahh so you are of the mindset, people need government to survive. This is scary when people give up their own self worth and liberty, and hand it to a government.
So in your mindset Washington, D.C. needs to be your mother, and everyone's mommy.
So are you saying the State of Lousianna should not be the one to blame? In the end the states are responsible for their state. State's Rights which was how the constituion was written and what the Supreme Court has reinforced over and over.
But because your mind is so focused on a perceived enemy (Bush in this case) you fail to think logically about this situation.
Does Lousianna, not have State Police? Do they not have Fire Departments? Do they not have Civil Servants through out the state that could have been called?
The Federal Governments delay in this entire issue, is because they are used to States handling this. They were also totally unprepared for the lawlessness. Does Florida have these problems? No. Mississippi also got hit, remember? Are they shooting at people? No, they are banding to gether and helping each other.
People can sit and point the finger of blame at the Federal Government, or they could ask themselves, "What did WE (Louisiana's do wrong)".
