I think your completely wrong - nothing justifies stealing gold / diamonds,
if people could get inside the bank vaults would that be ok also?
how about if you owned the businesses that where getting looted - still ok?
I suspect that your answers would be different if you where a business owner there now.
food, diapers for the kids, water - ok - I understand and I would go after these types of things if my kids where going hungry - but the other actions with people grinning ear to ear with handfuls of jeans, suits, electronics, jewelry, etc... doing this type of theft should be prosecuted - these people didnt even care about the cameras or try to hide their faces - I wish that the police keep the tapes of this and go back in a few months and start prosecuting the worst offenders - but I highly doubt anything would ever be done like this.
