It's called the USA, right to bare arms [during civil war], of course they'll use them to hoard food and other resources as well, because they have them - but that's not protecting yourself.. I suppose it is in the survival sense.. all those AK47 owners are lucky.
KRL's mention of people firing AK47s are police stations... that's the true violence that exists in the USA; a lot of other places in the world.. but many more guns sold and produced, and sold to terrorists in and from the US.. "God Bless America" <- because they need it.
