Um, been there and done that. 9-11, I had no home for 3 months because it was 2 blocks away. I was walking around that area all day long on 9-11 with no one around to stop me. I can honestly say, that not once did I think of taking something that wasn't mine. My friends and relatives had to talk me into going to red cross to get help for me and my wife and kid.

Some of us steal, some of us leach off of others,very few of us pull up our fucking boot straps and get on with it.

If people need help that is one thing. Stealing when other people are down is the fucking lowest of the low.
