You are correct. I was making a joke, with cutting reality, that meth owns rural Florida.
The warnings were screamed from the roof tops back in 1991. Ice hit Hawaii hardcore... people were on 60 minutes, 20/20, etc warning the mainland. Then California was invaded (crank in power had already been on the scene), then slowly but surely it made it to this coast.
The carnage is massive. I know too many people who are on the 'baker's rack' because they fried their brain. Complete, irreversal psychosis. All the other drugs this country has had to deal with did not leave permanent damage. Addictions come and go, and phases of drugs, come and go... but the damage meth leaves is massive. Complete loss of teeth, who segments of brain wiped out, meth labs dumping toxic waste, etc etc
