That's why you always get either the first appointment in the morning, or the first one after the office's lunch break. Those are usually the only two appointments they're on time for.

You can also sometimes call the receptionist or assistant and ask if the doctor is running on time. Often, my doctor's assistant will tell me to go ahead and come late if she's really far behind.

Spend enough time at the doctor's office and you learn the tricks.
