The gravy job to get with hurricane cleanup efforts is as an inspector. See since we are dealing with usually DOT/Government/FEMA money there always has to be an inspector. To make sure the contractors doing the cleanup arent doing anything underhanded. It may take some researching to find out which companies got the contract but it can be worth it. $20/hr 100 hours/week plus a per diem of like $150/day can be had if you get in with a decent company.
