Unfortunately (and Im not an alarmist) this storm is already worse density wise than Andrew and Camille - and if New Orleans takes the center - the people just west of there are looking at 20 ft of water rise - not just 4 feet of water - I was around during Camille and with this one being worse - I would already be on the road out of there

As I just heard on TV someone put it very well - this is not a TV show - with the attitudes of people thinking this is just a little fun to watch event - theyre going to be among those killed which right now looks like to be in the thousands if not more like 10s of thousands - because they "arent afraid of a little storm weather"
Folks - if you havent left yet - please do! Ill even put you up for free but get your asses out of there - 20 feet of water will put houses completely underwater - not just a little flooding

Back in 1969 when Camille hit there were only 259 deaths during the initial strike - it hit just east of where this one seems to be headed in a lower population area - again if this thing goes in at NO, with areas like Kenner where Lake Pontchartrain is right next door - there is a good liklihood that they will completely under water
Most of you werent alive during Camille - please just take my word that you dont want to be there
Here's a good link to info about these things
