It's actually a decent bit of board promotions--use a provocative title, focus on an emotional trigger, get the click, layout a plausible situation. Zero in on a topic that won't blowback on your sponsor. In this case, shaving... by focusing attention on a perceived industry problem, the sponsor in the sig is read to be above that problem. Nice technique and crafty allocation of basic drama elements.

Definitely better than the more amorphous but highly dramatic posts that focus on ethnic/religious/racial/personality issues that have a high chance of backfiring. Sure this posting technique generates a lot of noise but a lot of it may be negative and self-damaging.
