As for people noticing well I am sure many do not, but when members can leave comments about any given content like they can in my sites it only takes one person to notice and then wham everyone does.

Whats wrong with members seeing a watch in a members section?
Is it a bad thing that they talk about it, while returning to your site and discuss it on your forums in your sites? Where you have the opportunity to sell them or advertise something to em again?
Assuming they would of course be outraged over a watch?
Better yet...
Put an upsell to that same watch in your members section!
