make a public statement ... sort of like this; "our intent was to both draw attention to and offer some encouragement to cripples who insist on deluding themselves into believing that they can be useful or productive members of society" that way you let yourself off the hook and you become the good guy.
sorry... its just so stupid, i would instinctfully push it further to highlight the ingornace of the situation.
