Just like the old saying, "99% of the time when someone says that they're just kidding they're simply covering up the truth" is how I feel about board personas. 99% of the time their board persona is their true persona.
If they act like morons on the board then that is generally their real life personality. What you see when you meet them is their fake personality. It's easy to put on a charade for a weekend to make some friends but what you say and/or do on the boards is pretty much who you are.
