U2's career didn't start in the year 2000. I agree that everything U2 has done in the past 10-15 years is garbage, boring, and stale. I haven't bought anything from them in years. But listen to their earlier albums from the 80's and maybe 1 or 2 from the 90's.
Coldplay's song "clocks" is the only song that I think is ok. The rest all sound exactly the same. They're in the same league as creed, nickelback, and 50 cent, just in a different genre. Having all songs sound the same used to mean a band had no talent, now it's heralded as the greatest thing since sliced bread.
