Well, lessee. When I was in school taking programming lessons, one of the tricks we always pulled was to insert an "ABEND" card in the middle of other sudent's punchcard decks. See, you'd punch up your deck (on an IBM 029 keypunch machine), and you only got one run per day of your program. The ABEND card was a code to cause an ABnormal END of your program at the point the card was encountered, causing a stack dump for debugging.

Does that date me sufficiently?
