I changed a LOT of the config options found from many links people posted or google found, and it's lightning fast on this PC now. It's all in the config.

The PC I'm currently on:

AMD Athlon XP 2000+
1.67 Ghz, 512 MB of RAM

so you can see it's definately not the hardware making it fast
