He did literally kick some ass in EpII but I must say that I prefer Yoda from the 'first' 3 films. His dialouge was much wittier and he actually looked LESS plastic than he does now that he's entirely animated.
Of the two films I did prefer LotR but more from a production point of view than anything else. Although I was looking forward to Tom Bombadil too...
