I think that constitutes an emergency. What really bothers me is it took this fucking long for these governors to address this problem using a simple law, that was on the books for decades if not a century or more. That's the real emergency, the emergency of ignorance of the public servants.

Um most meth is home made right in here in the good ole usa. Why risk trying to move that shit across a border when its so damn easy and cheap to produce stateside. BTW the gets to our kids was just to much of a bullshit politicians line. Fuck the kids! The drugs get to those who want to buy them.
As for the other ones I am guess you are talking about Canada right? Though why would those states care then. You can get all the dangerous chemicals you desire at retail stores right near you as it is. Weapons? well typically the weapons come from the US and get transported elsewhere, sort of been the tradition ya know. Slaves umm I do think most of the slaves are not crossing the border but coming into places like NY and SF via asia. Well I am sure some come in from Canada as well.
Lets call it what it is. Politicians make people feel good about the crap economy by preventing illegal mexicans across the border so the couch jockey welfare collectors can no longer say to their wives, there aint no jobs all them spicks took them when she brings home the classifieds section.
