No, they're not. Why? Because they are <i>stories</i>, and stories are made-up fantasy, and fantasy falls in the realm of one's own private thoughts. If ficticious stories were illegal you'd have the thought police down your neck and up your ass before long, now wouldn't you.
With regard to the unauthorized search of the guy's server space, I would be very interested to hear what a net-savvy lawyer has to say about it. I mean, are you telling me that any of our sponsors can somehow gain access to our webspace accounts and nose around in there without our knowledge? (and can us for anything they might find that they don't like???)
