I agree with all of what you said. By "newbie friendly" I wasn't referring to the attitude of established webmasters, but to the fact that when I got into this you could put up a basic 50 pic Cyberage Preferred site with a shitload of upsells and even with very few html/graphics skills make a couple hundred in your first week or two. It didn't take alot to keep someone stoked for the business from the beginning back then. Now, unless you start out with good business sense, a working knowledge of html, tenacity, and a few other things, you probably don't stand a chance.
I don't think newbie boards and the resources they feed will dissappear. I just think there will be alot fewer in a couple of years.
