Yeesh. They've averaged something between 60-70 insurgent attacks PER DAY now for months. Any parallels being drawn to the creation of a constitution is completely arbitrary. They're not stepping up attacks and getting deadlier because of some bullshit date on a calendar... they're stepping up attacks and getting deadlier because
they own Iraq, they can operate with complete impunity, and they're getting better at what they do.
THAT'S the message they want to send. This consitution thing is just more rummyspeak about 'turning a corner'. There's been about 10893792 corners turned so far, so many that one might consider it a 'downward spiral'.
