No offense though I'm sure you're going to take this the wrong way but...That opinion is extremely rare among those who make a decent living.
I say that because either of the systems is a tremendous value by any definition of the word. They all deliver PC levels of realism in games for half the price. In fact, just an nVidia 7800GTX (PS3 equivalent video card) or a pending ATi R520 (Xbox360 equivalent video card) costs $500. Alone. With no PC.
They're incredible values in that light. And you're incorrect on the PS3's rendering power, it's roughly equivalent to the Xbox360's as noted above. There will be no visible difference between the titles on either system, both will be top tier.
