I'm not sure I am following the problem you are having..
Are you setting the default address here:
http://www.yourdomain.com:2082/frontend/x/mail/def.html ?
Maybe that error is comcast filtering email out? I'd setup a gmail account or something and test that. (I actually have all my domain emails go to a gmail account.. so I can keep em forever.
