Oh I definitely still like the Gene Wilder version better, but I like that movie better than most I have
ever seen anyway, it's in my top 5
Now an upcoming remake I will probably find totally disappointing is going to be the remake of Hairspray (actually, it's a movie based on the Broadway musical instead of an actual remake of the original film) because instead of choosing Harvey Fierstein or Bruce Vilanch who have excellently played the cross-dressing part of Edna Turnblad on Broadway they are going with John Travolta, WTF?!
