Why do Europeans hate Americans?
Cultural Imperialism. Europeans believe that their countries have been around longer and therefore are better.
The problem is when the USA gets a cold everyone (other countries) get pneumonia. Our economy, military, and society affect other countries in ways we don't even contemplate or care about.
Some Europeans (not all) can't stand the fact that the USA had to intervene in their politics and security to help them. Example the Marshall Plan, WW1, WW2, Berlin Airlift, Cold War, etc.
I don't care if Europeans love me or appreciate what my country did for them.
The proof is in the pudding. Who will the next victim country come to for help? Belgium? No...the USA. And, we will gladdly render assistance because that is the American ethic.
