I can only speak for myself, of course, but I do have the perspective of being a very small time webmaster with about 1.5 years experience.

I've gotten alot out of the Noob threads thus far. There have been several posts that gave excellent advice on everything from design concepts to taking pictures.

There is also the networking aspect. I've gotten to know 2HP a little, and to have the opportunity to absorb what he teaches. I'd have not had that experience without the Noobs, as I am a no one on this board.

Thirdly, there is simply the energy connected with the project. I don't know much, but if I listen and learn, someday I will. And when that happens, I hope to be able to share the wealth, so to speak. Yes, it's a business and we are all in competition, and it our business is porn. I'm not being so naive as to say we can make the world a better place through porn. (but it's not a bad notion either ;) ) But I do think we can make the world a better place when we share knowledge. And that both our businesses and we as individuals will be aided.

Given all that, am I wealthier because of the project..financially wealthier, that is? I can't say. I can't say if I made a certain sale because of doing a layout a certain way because I read about it from a Noob thread.

I didn't see the project as anything that would instantly line my pockets though. I saw it as an evolving thing that would...to borrow some words from 2HP...help me form bridges.
