Mike - depends on the level of theivery what I would do - if its as large as it seems to be I'd be going down the legal path first - then posting after I find out what my legal limitations are in the case which sometimes include a gag order on both sides.
If its a smaller case like I had with one sponsor where outing on the boards and informing everyone I could seemed to take care of the problem - as well as getting his sites shut down, then that was reward enough that he no longer affected my bottom line. Of course this method has drawbacks as you kinda have to keep an eye out for a repeat occurence
