My (very religious) ex-wife found my blog

I posted the story as tonight's entry, too. Here it is:

Quote:
Tonight my ex-wife informed me that she found my blog a few days ago and read most of it. I asked what she thought. She's very disappointed, particularly by the Luke Ford Interview.

"Did you mean what you said in that interview?"

"Every word."

"Even the part about how you'd help our son get into this business?"

"What?? Did you actually read what I said? I'd tell him all the bad attitudes he'd run up against from your side of the family. I'd discourage him. But if he was old enough and decided he wanted to run a business like mine I'd guide him."

"That's horrible!"

"People are going to do what they're going to do! If he made up his mind that this is what he wanted to do I'd help him as much as I can."

"So if he wanted to commit suicide you'd help him do that too?"

"You're being ridiculous. Killing yourself is so much different than..." (I'm interrupted here)

"NO IT'S NOT, DONNY!"

"I realize your religious beliefs make you feel that way but the majority of people don't feel the way you do!"

"It doesn't matter what the majority of people think. Let's talk about this later."

"Yes, let's."

So we ate dinner together with our son at a local steakhouse, where my son fed me squash and laughing as hard as he could at the faces I'd make when the squash entered my mouth. The little old lady at the table across from us found it pretty amusing, too. It's not often you see a small child feeding his DAD.
