There is no geek factor to cheap, old ass hardware. That may have been a $70,000 box way back in like 1992 but it's worth around $80 now. My USRobotics dsl router can route packets better and faster than your Xyplex. Why are you adding an extra hop in your house anyway? I cannot for the life of me understand why you'd be impressed by a flea market box and not a Juniper. Maybe you're allergic to Sonet.
