That part in yellow is the key to the situation - stop paying his bills and he'll lose the 'HM' taste real quick. If you have to pay the bills cuz 'Monsieur' has a lifestyle to maintain, then I suggest you give him a reality check & back to earth or lose him.
*I have no problem with living well and large and wanting the finer things in life - if you can afford it, by all means, go for it - even if you want to make debts to do it, I'm not judging. But if you expect the girlfriend to pay for the basics in life cuz you want to live like Rockefeller - then I thing you got to come back to earth*
