the header is EXTREMELY cluttered and grainy. id suggest you steer clear of applying filter after filter without a concept. Also, I really wouldn't call that a logo...it's just warped text. non-sense graphics leads to nowhere. since youre new to PS you might say 'wow, look at those effects i can create with these filters'...but in reality those effects weren't even cool back in 1999. Try to create a THEME that is:
1. easy on the eyes
2. makes your site stand out from the ten-gazillion tgps/mgp's out there, so that your visitors will have a photographic image of your site and its template and associate your domain name with it(therefore you should also create a logo that is UNIQUE, not just warped text)!
3. looks professional(you will get it, just remember these: SIMPLE, CLEAN, HAVE A THEME(have the colors/background/logo create "ONE PIECE OF WORK"), EASY ON THE EYES, UNIQUE LOGO
keep it NICE and CLEAN. Not to break your balls, trying to help. Also, somehow the thumbs don't seem to 'stand apart' from each other. maybe they could be a tiny bit bigger? or try to produce better quality thumbs(thats probably the problem. i suppose you didnt make them manually, did you?
good luck.
