It's called the linea nigra. Before your pregnancy, you had an unnoticeable line (called the linea alba) the same color as your skin and in the same place: running from about the top of your belly button to the top of your pubic bone. The same increased production of melanin that causes facial skin splotches is responsible for darkening this line. It will probably fade back to its pre-pregnant state several months after you have your baby.

I think she looks just fine.... She's still skanky white trash but she looks great for how far along in her pregnancy she is.
